Are headbands bad for your hair official, I’ve jumped on the train of making my very own headbands, hairbows, hair clips, etc. I’ve always purchased these items from vendors on Etsy.com, until recently when I decided I would like to try making them on my own. What brought me to the decision to make my own was that I cannot find one headband to fit Blake’s head without leaving an indention of some type.

Now don’t get me wrong, she does have a pretty large head, she’s in the 97th percentile for her age on it, but still, why is it so impossible to purchase a headband that doesn’t leave a mark on her “little” head? I started off by going into Michael’s to grab some ribbon, a glue gun, and a storage container, and to see what else I could find. I found just those items. Next, I are headbands bad for your hair over to Walmart hoping to find some material to make the headbands with, but nothing. I did, however, find in the children’s section some pre-made crochet bands and sequin ones,

I decided to purchase these for practice and to use them as patterns in case I needed them. From here I popped into Hobby Lobby. I just love them! 🙂 I am also pretty darn proud of myself. The first try was a complete success. I also put them on my little subject model for a show.

Would love to know everyone’s thoughts! I plan to of course make different styles, and add flowers, feathers, etc. I am thinking about selling these items once I get better and come up with more ideas and so forth. Very excited about this! 🙂
